Introduction:
When it comes to my name, I’ve always faced a predicament. My real name is somewhat outdated, but on the other hand, my nickname is an absolute disaster, and I dislike it immensely. Sharing my nickname with others often brings me shame, even though it’s what my family calls me.

Curiosity got the better of me one day, and I asked my family why they had chosen that name for me. Their response was heart-warming – they said it was because I am incredibly lovable to them. These words, however, failed to satisfy my desire for a name that truly resonated with me.
Finding a New Identity:
Throughout my academic years, I incessantly sought ways to distance myself from my given name. Whenever I had to write something or inscribe my name on my belongings, I would modify it. This practice continued until my time in school ended.

I wanted a fresh start in college, and the thought of being known by that name seemed like a source of shame. So, I decided to embark on a journey to reinvent myself, to find a synonym that truly reflected my identity.
A Furry Companion:
As I entered this new phase of my life, I found solace in the company of a little dog. Determined to give her a suitable name, I embarked on a search, exploring countless possibilities.

Eventually, I stumbled upon a movie that inspired me, leading me to christen her ‘Goose’. Over time, Goose became an integral part of my life and brought immense joy to my household.
A Transcending Bond:
Two years later, Goose gave birth to a litter of adorable puppies.

Although I adored each one of them, it was impossible for me to keep them all. Therefore, I made a heartfelt decision to entrust the puppies to friends who could provide them with the love and care they deserved. However, one particular puppy stood out from the rest since birth. I felt an instant connection with him. He possessed a unique demeanor and physical attributes that captured my heart. As I couldn’t raise all the puppies, I let their new owners choose their names, while I named the one puppy I kept.

‘Dabboo’ was the name I gave him, reflecting his distinctive texture, behavior, and the love he showered upon me.
Embracing Unconditional Love:
Later, we decided to change ‘Dabboo’s’ name to ‘Davy’. Strangely enough, we developed a deep emotional attachment to him, making the name itself inconsequential. Our love for him transcended the significance of a mere label.

This incident caused me to realize that the importance of having a good or bad name holds no weight when someone loves you unconditionally. Much like the famous anecdote of a couple naming their child ‘Lab Kapil’, showing their unwavering affection through a simple yet unique name, my parents and relatives have chosen a distinctive name for me, signifying their deep love and affection.
Conclusion:
In the quest for the perfect name, I discovered that the essence of a name lies in the emotions and love it carries.

Whether it’s my given name, nickname, or even the chosen names for my pets, what truly matters is the affection and connection shared between individuals. A name becomes insignificant when enveloped in the warmth of love and affection that emanates from those around us.
