Why there is so much suffering in LOVE?

Chai, Love Aur Ek Thappad

There was once a man named Mohan, a simple tea stall owner in Banaras.

One morning, a woman named Radha came to his stall. She smiled, sipped his chai, and said, “Wah! Kya chai banayi hai…”

Bas! Mohan ka dil gaya.

From that day, every time Radha came, Mohan gave her free chai, extra biscuit, thoda zyada pyaar bhi.

One day, she came with her boyfriend.

Mohan’s heart sank like a soggy Parle-G.

He quietly gave her the chai. But his mind was shouting:

“Main itna karta hoon tere liye, aur tu kisi aur ke saath?”

He couldn’t hold it anymore.

He said, “Radha! I thought you liked me. I gave you free chai, my best biscuits… mera dil!”

Radha laughed kindly and said,

“Mohan, tune chai di thi, invoice ke saath dil ka bill nahi.”

Mohan was heartbroken. That night he sat under a tree, sulking.

An old fakir passing by laughed and said,

“Beta, jisey chaho, us se kuchh matt chaaho.”

Mohan: “Par maine toh sirf pyaar kiya…”

Fakir: “Nahi, tune business kiya.

Prem diya nahi — invest kiya, return ke liye.”

Osho-style Quote Drops:

• “Prem ek nadi hai – beh jaati hai. Woh talab nahi ban sakti jahan tum machhli pakadne jao.”

(Love is a river — it flows. It’s not a pond where you go fishing.)

• “Jab tum bina chaah ke chaho, tabhi asli chamatkaar hota hai.”

(When you love without wanting, that’s when the magic happens.)

• “Agar tum kisi se kuchh chahne lag jao, to tum uske malik ban jaate ho – aur pyar ghulam.”

(If you start expecting from someone, you become the owner — and love becomes a slave.)

Next morning, Mohan went back to his stall. Radha came again.

He smiled, gave her chai — and this time, took money.

No expectations, no drama.

Just chai. Just joy.

Moral in Osho’s tone:

“Love like a flute — hollow, open, and full of song.

Not like a pressure cooker — full of expectations, and waiting to whistle!”

Osho might say:

“Prem ek phool hai. Maango mat, bas khushboo lo.”

(Love is like a flower. Don’t pluck it, just enjoy the fragrance.)

Let’s break it down, Osho-style:

“Jisey chaho, us se kuchh matt chaaho”

(Love someone, but don’t expect anything from them.)

Imagine this:

You go to someone and say, “I love you.”

But what you really mean is, “I love you… if you behave the way I like, call me three times a day, say sweet things, and never ignore my texts.”

That’s not love. That’s a business deal!

Osho would laugh and say:

“Prem ki dukaan nahi hoti jahan tum ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Free’ ka board laga do!”

True love is like the sun.

It shines. It doesn’t care whether you say thank you or not.

It doesn’t say, “I’ll shine only if you do Surya Namaskar every morning.”

Just like a child gives a flower to his mother — not asking for chocolates in return. He just gives. Out of joy.

But what do we do?

We love like bankers:

“I deposited love today. Interest kab milega?”

Osho would say:

“Prem ek geet hai, hisaab-kitaab nahi.”

(Love is a song, not a spreadsheet.)

Example Time:

You feed a stray dog. It wags its tail and licks your hand.

You don’t say, “Kal bhi aana, warna dosti khatam!”

You just feel joy. That’s unconditional love.

Now apply the same to people. Love them — not to control, not to change, not to possess.

Osho’s joke style:

“Ek aadmi ne apni biwi se kaha, ‘Main tumse bina kisi shart ke prem karta hoon… Bas har roz garam roti milti rahe!’”

Osho laughs: “Yeh shart nahi toh aur kya hai? Roti ke liye prem, ya prem ke liye roti?”

So Osho’s message is simple:

Love is freedom.

If you truly love someone, let them be.

No conditions. No expectations.

Just presence. Just joy.

“Jisey chaho, us se kuchh matt chaaho”

— because real love is not about getting… it’s about giving, and then forgetting you even gave.

Spread the love
